The Project
What do Texas, basketball, and the future of lighting have in common? They all converged as part of a renovation project in Temple. When Temple College re-made their gymnasium, they lined their busy backboards with LED Rope Lighting (traditional neon light cannot be used for this application, since neon light is fragile.) This vibrant addition to their home court has undoubtedly made their slam dunks shine brighter and their jump shots swish more sweetly.
It's no surprise, then, that their energy efficiency and long-life are not the only things that make crowds go crazy over LEDs!
LED Waves' involvement
LED*Waves provided the Day Time LED Neon Rope Light that was used help modernize the Temple gymnasium in a subtle but exciting way. Everything's big in Texas, and college basketball is no exception. Now, thanks to sturdy and eye-catching LED neon, the adrenaline rush of a Temple buzz-beater will last long after a Leopard fan exits the college's shiny new gymnasium in victory.
